If all goes well, this will be my 1000th post to Knowledge Jolt with Jack since I started in May 2003. You have contributed by adding 521 comments and 244 trackbacks (about 1/3 internal trackbacks - talking to myself). I have referenced over 1200 websites. I've gone from a few readers to 1500 visitors a day. Thanks to all my readers -- and thanks to all the people out there I read and who inspire me to think and participate.
There is Blog 1000 meme running around (thanks Tris). I've now posted the button in my site info section: to prove I've done it.
For the curious, I include some statistics about who I cite and how much I get visited.
Revenue generated
Some. Not as much as I'd like. The adjunct professorship at Northwestern is closely related to the blog, particularly in my willingness to expose my expertise (or lack thereof). I have made enough on Amazon references to buy a couple books. I've also had many client referrals as a result of people who know me via this blog and as a result of finding me through longer paths (friends of clients and searches). This blog has been a very strong tool for networking and reaching out to people that I would have never had otherwise. I've been invited to participate in events that initially seemed like big stretches for me, but now seem like natural fits.
Visitor statistics
This has been consistently increasing with those blips being periods of technical problems. Interestingly, the server problems didn't keep me from posting regularly.
Monthly posting behavior
Seems to be pretty even every month - right about one post per day.

Outbound links, sorted by frequency of use
For the curious / vain, here is a list of the over ~125 websites (out of 1200) I've mentioned at least twice and how frequently I referred to them. Of course, this list will skew the results the next time I do this.
